There are a number of abbreviations and important terms I use throughout my posts. Here’s an alphabetical listing of their meanings.

Abbreviations
The * symbol after an abbreviation means it’s explained further below under terms.

• AFAB*– Assigned Female At Birth
• AMAB* – Assigned Male At Birth
• ASL – American Sign Language
• D/HH – Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• IEP* – Individualized Education Plan
• NB* – Non-binary
